So after 2 interviews and successfully completing their test, turns out Gambit Game Labs doesn't hire non-Singaporeans/PRs. Although I don't blame them, as they are a part of the MDA, and it seems that their concept is to create jobs for Singaporeans.
Anyhow, here is the work I did for their test:
Time taken to complete: 2 days.
Instructions: Model, rig, and animate 3 game animation loops. I was told to animate a biped doing a crab walking treadmill, a crazy punch, and a foot stomp without moving joints in the 3rd dimension, so as to give it a very flat 2D animation feel. Animations were based on simplified examples provided by Gambit.
Model, rig, and animation built from scratch in Maya. Software rendering with depth map shadows, and final footage rendered with After Effects.
